Management of National Communication Centres of Customs Services of Regional Communication Centre member states on law enforcement work of WTO RILO-Moscow met in Nizhny Novgorod

The 10th (jubilee) conference of the Management of National Communication Centres of Customs Services of Regional Communication Centre member states on law enforcement work of World Customs Organization in CIS countries RILO-Moscow took place on 21st and 22nd of September in Nizhny Novgorod under the aegis of Russian FCS.

The participants of the Conference were the Management of National Communication Centres of Customs Services of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, the representatives of WTO, regional communication centres of Western, Eastern and Central Europe, Asian-Pacific region, Middle East, employees of Coordinating Service of Council of Commanders of CIS frontier troops, CIS Anti-terrorism centre, Coordinating office for organized crime control, CSTO Coordinating Council of the management of the relevant authorities for narcotics distribution control, as well as the management of the departments of the Volga region Customs Authorities. The colleagues made reports on the RILO-Moscow and National Communication Centres activity in 2001-2011, as well as the presentation of WTO and other regional communication centres and CIS coordinating law enforcement organizations.

Based on the results of the Conference, the draft Program of RILO-Moscow activity for 2012 was approved. The document primarily aims to intensify the exchange of the law information on a wide range of contraband arrests, consolidation of collaboration with WTO partners and active participation in international customs operations and projects.

International partners highly appraised the activity of RILO-Moscow as an acknowledged international association of national communication centres of CIS Customs services as well as an active participant of law information exchange.

The RILO-Moscow office has prepared an anniversary digest, devoted to the activity of the association in 2001-2011. The digest will be available in the WTO and Russian FCS websites.
