Meeting of the Moscow International Club of Customs Attachés

On 27th January 2012, the Conference of Moscow International Club of Customs attachés, coincided with the 60th Anniversary of the World Customs Organization and the 10th Anniversary of the Club, took place in the Federal Customs Service of Russia.

The Customs attachés and diplomats from 20 countries of Europe, Asia and America, the representatives of the Russian FCS abroad from 16 states, as well as the heads of the Departments of Customs Collaboration of the Russian FCS Regional Customs Directorates took part in the Conference.

The Delegation of the Customs Service of Italy, headed by Mrs. Nataline Chea, the Director of the International Collaboration Department and Technical Support, and the Delegation of the Kazakhstan Customs Control Committee visited the meeting of the Club.

Mr. Vladimir Malinin, the Senior Deputy of the Head of the Russian FCS, delivered his welcome address to the attendees. On behalf of the Federal Customs Service, he congratulated all the foreign colleagues on the International Day of the Customs Officer and the Club’s Anniversary.

Mr. Sergey Konovalenko, the Club’s Chairman and the Head of the Customs Collaboration Directorate of the Russian FCS, familiarised the colleagues with the summary of the Russian FCS activities in 2011 and shared the future action plan of the Club.

Robert Appeldorn, new Customs Attaché of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Russia, was presented to those, who were present at the Conference.

The Orchestra of the Russian FCS gave a gala concert to the participants of the meeting after the end of its official part. Thereupon foreign colleagues had the opportunity to talk to and discuss topical issues of the customs collaboration with the Direction of the FCS of Russia.
