Visit of Head of Federal Customs Service to Tajikistan Republic

During the period from 4th to 6th October, 2012 Mr. Andrey Belyaninov, Head of the Federal Customs Service, visited Dushanbe, the Republic of Tajikistan. He was on the Russian Federation delegation, headed by Mr. Vladimir Putin, President of Russia.

In the course of the visit, Mr. Belyaninov took part in official negotiations. Moreover, the meeting with Mr. Gurez Zaripov, Head of the Customs Service, affiliated to the Government of Tajikistan, took place. During the meeting the issues of bilateral cooperation of the Customs Services were discussed. Besides, the parties expressed their readiness for further collaboration extension in all the customs activity domains.

Head of the Federal Customs Service Mr. Belyaninov took part in the Business- Forum of Tajikistan-Russian Business Communities. In his report, he touched upon integration opportunities in the EurAsEC framework and mentioned the questions, concerning the possible accession of the Tajikistan Republic to the Customs Union.

Head of the Russian FCS was together with Mr. Sergey Konovalenko, Head of Customs Collaboration Department, Mr. Alexey Shashaev, Head of Information Technologies Department, Mr. Victor Mironov, Acting Head of Main Department for Smuggling Control. They held negotiations with colleagues from Tajikistan and discussed main directions for the development of their activity domains.

Mr. Shashaev, Head of Information Technologies Department, took part in the Regional Conference for Central Asia Countries on the topic “Simplification of Trade in Central Asia: achievements and opportunities” and presented the information technologies, used by the Russian Federation Customs Authorities. Mr. Shashaev also answered the questions of the Conference participants.
