CUSTOMS EXPERTS OF EURASEC MEMBER-STATES DISCUSSED ISSUES OF INTERSTATE INFORMATION EXCHANGE

On 19-21 of March 2013, a meeting of Eurasian Economic Community (EurAsEC) member states was held in Tula. It was attended by the representatives of the Customs Services of Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Alexey Shashaev, Russian FCS IT General Department Head, pointed out that the problem of the interstate information exchange is particularly important.

Nowadays, a number of projects, which enabled to create the information and technology platform, as well as to work out some efficient technological and organizational solutions, aiming to develop the information exchange between the Customs Services of EurAsEC member-states, are being deployed. In particular, the interstate program “Creation of Common automated information system of customs transit control of the Eurasian Economic Community” is being implemented. From the point of view of the meeting participants, such projects improve and strengthen the economic relations between the EurAsEC member-states and contribute to the foreign trade animation of these countries in Eurasia.

The presence of the representatives of the software development companies, who create and improve the information technologies in the Customs Services, contributed to the fruitful work of the customs experts.

Summarizing the results of the meeting, the documents, which are designed to improve the efficiency of the use of the common information space by the customs services of the EurAsEC member-states, were validated.
