VISIT OF FEDERAL CUSTOMS SERVICE DELEGATION TO ITALY

From 27 to 29 of March, 2013, the delegation of the Russian Federal Customs Service paid an official visit to the Customs Agency and the State Monopoly of Italy. The delegation was headed by Andrey Belyaninov, Head of Russian FCS.

During the meeting of Mr. Andrey Belyaninov with Mr. Giuseppe Peleggi, Director of the Italian Customs and State Monopoly Agency, the interdepartmental Memorandum of Understanding was signed. The Memorandum stipulates the establishment of an effective system to support the trade between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Italy, as well as to provide benefits for reliable foreign traders.

The two parties also discussed the draft protocol between the Russian FCS and the Italian Customs and State Monopoly Agency on the exchange of information about the goods transported between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Italy. The sides also agreed to sign it as soon as possible. This protocol will create a legal framework to accelerate and simplify the customs clearance and customs control for reliable traders of both countries.

Within the framework of the visit, the meeting of the Russian Federal Customs Service delegation with the Italian business community, involving the representatives of the Embassy and the Trade Representational Office of Russia in Italy, took place.
