HEADS OF CUSTOMS SERVICES OF RUSSIA AND UZBEKISTAN MET IN MOSCOW

On April 12, 2013, a meeting of Mr. Andrey Belyaninov, Head of FCS of Russia, and Mr. Zohid Dusanov, Chairman of the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, took place.

The first meeting of the customs leaders was held within the framework of the visit of Mr. Islam Karimov, President of Uzbekistan.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the upcoming trends of the bilateral customs cooperation, including the benchmark in the sphere of application of customs information technologies, mutual training of canine and forensic divisions, training and skills development of the personnel, and others.

In order to strengthen the law enforcement cooperation, the leaders signed the Protocol on collaboration between the FCS of Russia and the State Customs Committee of Uzbekistan in the sphere of law infringement control, related to the transportation of goods by air. The elaboration of this protocol has been in process since 2011.
