MEETING OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE CUSTOMS SERVICES OF RUSSIA AND POLAND

On April 29, 2013, the first session of the Russian-Polish working group on customs matters within the framework of the Russian-Polish Intergovernmental Economic Cooperation Committee was held in Kaliningrad.

The Russian delegation was headed by Mr. Ruslan Davydov, Deputy Head of the Federal Customs Service of Russia, while the Polish side was led by Mr. Gregorzh Smogorzhevsky, Deputy Director of the Customs Service of Poland.

During the session, the parties noted a high level of cooperation both at the regional and central levels, discussed the results of the deployment of "Green Channel" pilot project at the checkpoint Mamonovo-Gzhehotki that provides a simplified procedure of the border crossing of persons. The parties also considered the current situation at the Russian-Polish border checkpoints, and possibilities for further cooperation development of the customs services of Russia and Poland.
