Bishkek hosted competitions of dog handlers of customs services of the member countries of the CIS

In September 2013, Bishkek hosted the III International multiathlon competitions between dog handlers of the customs services of member countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States.

During four days, the best representatives of dog services of customs agencies of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Ukraine contend for the championship in the following nominations: “search for drugs in luggage”, “search for drugs on passenger transport”, “search for drugs on a cargo transport”, “search for drugs in the room”, “obedience”.

The dog experts showed a high level of professional training and proficiency of dogs in general and special course of training.

The winners in the category “search for drugs in luggage” were Aram Ovsepyan with Belgian shepherd Jessy (Armenia), Anna Rodchenkova with Belgian shepherd Zhofrey (Russia, the Domodedovo customs house), Nurbek Abdylashimov with German shepherd Vita (Kyrgyzstan).

The winners in the category “search for drugs on passenger transport” prizes were distributed as follows: the first place was won by A. Ovsepyan, the second – by Emil Agagyulov with German shepherd Mukhtar (Azerbaijan), the third - by Asylbek Bisenbaev with Belgian shepherd Lenger (Kazakhstan).

A. Rodchenkova, Akan Tursynbaev with Belgian shepherd Heven (Kazakhstan), N. Abdylashimov were the best in the category “search for drugs on a cargo transport”.

A. Bisenbaev, N. Abdylashimov and Anastasia Korshunova with Belgian shepherd Brown (Russia, the Sheremetyevo customs house) showed the best results in the category “search for drugs in the room”.

The most obedient service dogs were the dogs of A. Korshunova, A. Rodchenkova and A. Bisenbaeva.

The first place in the individual competitions of dog experts was won by A.Bisenbaev, the second – by E. Agagyulov, the third – by A. Korshunova.

In the team competitions the places were distributed as follows:

the 1 place was won by the team of dog handlers of the State Customs Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan (810 points);

the 2nd place – by the team of dog handlers of the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan Republic (756 points);

the 3rd place – by the team of dog handlers of the FCS of Russia (748 points).

The winners of individual and team championships were awarded with cups, diplomas and valuable gifts.
