The Embassy of Finland hosted a meeting of the Moscow International Club of Customs Attaché

In October 2013, the Embassy of Finland in Russia hosted a regular meeting of the Moscow International Club of Customs Attaché chaired by Sergei Konovalenko, the head of the Administration of Customs Cooperation of the FCS of Russia.

The meeting was organized by the Embassy and the Customs of the Republic of Finland on the occasion of completion of the diplomatic mission in Moscow of the customs adviser of Finland in Russia, Mr. Antti Nissinen, who had been worked in this position since 2001 and who is the doyen of the Customs Club.

The guests and participants were welcomed by Ms. Piayvi Laine, the Minister Plenipotentiary, Chargé D'affaires of the Embassy of Finland in Russia. Ms. P. Laine praised long-term activity of A. Nissinen at his post.

S. Konovalenko, the Chairman of the Club, expressed the customs attaché of Finland, on behalf of the Federal Customs Service, deep appreciation for his significant contribution to the development of fruitful cooperation between customs administrations of both countries.

On behalf of Andrei Belyaninov, the head of the FCS of Russia, the adviser Antti Nissinen was awarded a valuable prize - wristwatches - for his great personal contribution to strengthening bilateral ties.

Mr. Jarkko Sachs, the deputy director of the customs of Finland, conveyed compliments of the management of the Finnish customs to Mr. Antti Nissinen and introduced Mr. Tommy Kivilaakso,  the succeeding customs attaché.

The meeting of the club was attended by representatives of Finland, Russia, Germany, Hungary, India, Lithuania, Latvia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, the Netherlands, Poland, Turkey.
