Development of Russian-Turkish cooperation

On November 14, 2013 in Istanbul, the meeting between the Head of the Russian FCS Andrey Beliyaninov and the Adviser to the Minister of Customs and Trade of the Republic of Turkey Ziya Altunyildiz was held.

In the course of the meeting, the sides discussed the practical issues of implementation of the project "The Simplified Customs Channel", confirmed successful completion of the exchange of electronic information in the test mode and agreed upon the organization of the exchange of preliminary information        on a continuing basis, having specified the places for declaring goods transported within the project.

For the purpose of implementation of the agreements reached and facilitating the trade between Russia and Turkey, as part of the meeting of the Turkish-Russian High Level Cooperation Council on November 22, 2013 in St. Petersburg, in the presence of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and the Prime-Minister of Turkey Recep Erdoğan, the Head of the FCS of Russia Andrey Beliyaninov and the Advisor to the Minister for Customs and Trade Ziya Altunyildiz signed the Memorandum of Understanding between the Customs Services of Russia and Turkey in regard to the implementation of the procedure "The Simplified Customs Channel".
