Meeting of the Heads of Customs Services of Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Armenia

On December 23, 2013 in Moscow, the meeting of the Head of the Federal Customs Service Andrey Beliyaninov, the Chairman of the State Customs Committee of Belarus Alexander Shpilevsky, the Chairman of the Customs Control Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan Gosman Amrin and the Chairman of the State Revenue Committee under the Government of the Republic of Armenia Gagik Khachatryan was held. The meeting was dedicated to the organization of cooperation between customs services within Armenia's accession to the Customs Union.

The Heads of Customs Services agreed upon a List of activities required for the assistance to the Armenian Customs Service in Armenia’s accession to the Customs Union.

For the purpose of specifying the activities contained in the List, a working group was formed headed by the Deputy Heads of Customs Services in order to develop the issues of practical cooperation in regard to the principal directions of customs affairs.

In addition, it was decided to get the Customs officials of the Republic of Armenia introduced with the activities of the E-declaration Center of the FCS of Russia, the Almaly Customs Clearance Center, Canine Centers of the FCS of Russia and the Customs Control Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Russian Customs Academy, the Training Center of the Customs Control Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Central Forensic Customs Administration of the FCS of Russia and the Department of Remote Monitoring of the Customs Control Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In the near future, the Committee for Civil Actions under the Government of the Republic of Armenia will get acquainted with the experience of the Kazakh Customs Service on the Kazakh-Chinese, Kazakh-Kyrgyz and Kazakh-Uzbek sites of the customs border and the practices of the Belarusian and Russian customs authorities within the customs control of goods transported from the Kaliningrad region to the rest of the territory of the Customs Union.
