Agreement on Cooperation and Mutual Assistance in Customs Procedures signed between Russia and Palestine

On 24 January, 2014 the Agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the State of Palestine on Cooperation and Mutual Assistance in Customs Procedures was signed by the First Deputy Head of the FCS of  Russia, Mr.Vladimir Malinin, and the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the State of Palestine in the Russian Federation, Mr. Fayed Mustafa, in presence of Foreign Ministers of the two countries.

The Agreement provides for legal basis to develop bilateral interaction between the customs authorities to carry out question-and-answer work, organize exchange of statistics data, information on customs value of goods, as well as of preliminary information on goods and transport vehicles transported between Russia and Palestine.

Moreover, the Agreement envisages the organization of cooperation in the law-enforcement sphere for the purpose to prevent and suppress customs offences, as well as in the field of training and exchange of experts from customs authorities.
