|Meeting of the Head of the Federal Customs Service with the General Director of the Tax and Customs Department of the Republic of Estonia|
On 1 and 2 July, 2014 the Head of the FCS, Mr. Andrey Beliyaninov, went on a working visit to Tallinn (the Republic of Estonia) to have negotiations with General Director of the Tax and Customs Department of the Republic of Estonia, Mr. Marek Helm, with a view of developing th customs cooperation between Russia and Estonia.
The executives shared information about the situation at the border-crossing points on the Russian-Estonian border, agreed to intensify cooperation in the field of law enforcement and discussed further development of their cooperation.
The Estonian party spoke about the reconstruction of the checkpoint Narva (the Russian side - Ivangorod) and held a presentation of the construction and operation of the Kojdula railway station (checkpoint on the Russian side - Kunichina Gora).
During the visit to the Republic of Estonia, the delegation of the FCS of Russia paid a working visit to the Paldiski Northern Port, where goods are reloaded to be further transported by road via a dedicated lane to the border-crossing point Kunichina Gora - Kojdula.
The parties agreed that it is necessary to increase the number of participants and expand the range of goods transported as part of the project of the simplified procedure for moving vehicles of international transport at the Kunichina Gora - Kojdula border-crossing point.
The Russian party invited the delegation of the Estonian Tax and Customs Department to participate in the XV International Exhibition Customs Service - 2014, which will be held in Moscow on October 22-23, 2014.
