|About the Participation of the Head of the FCS of Russia in the National Delegation of the President of the Russian Federation|
On 14 July 2014 in Brasilia (Brazil) the Head of the FCS of Russia, Mr. Andrey Beliyaninov, took part in official negotiations as a member of the national delegation of the President of the Russian Federation.
The FCS of Russia (the Russian Federation) and the Secretariat for Federal Revenue of the Ministry of Finance (the Federative Republic of Brazil) signed a Memorandum on the exchange of statistical data on mutual trade. This document laid the foundation for the cooperation between the customs services of Russia and Brazil in the area of foreign trade statistics. This will make objective information readily available for the customs services of Russia and Brazil for the comparison of the statistics of both countries and the monitoring of the Russian-Brazilian economic cooperation.
The program of the visit of 14 July 2014 included bilateral negotiations between the Head of the Federal Customs Service Andrey Beliyaninov and the Secretary for Federal Revenue of the Ministry of Finance of the Federative Republic of Brazil Karlos Barreto.
The parties spoke about the organization of the mutual exchange of information between the customs services of Russia and Brazil, and the interaction on the sphere of customs clearance and customs control of international mail and express delivery packages in the context of Internet trade.
During the meeting the parties agreed to develop their cooperation in respect of canine units and in the sphere of advance notifications in sea ports.
The Russian and the Brazilian parties agreed to share their mutual experience in the preparation and staging of the XXII Olympic Games and XI Paralympic Games in Sochi and the World Football Cup 2014 in anticipation of the Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games 2016 in Brazil and the World Football Cup 2018 in Russia.
The parties paid much attention to the customs cooperation under the auspices of BRICS.
