|About visit of the Federal Customs Service of Russia delegation to Israel|
During the period from November 8 to November 10, 2016 delegation of the Federal Customs Service of Russia headed by Vladimir Bulavin visited Jerusalem as part of the official visit of the Chairman of the Russian Federation Government D.A. Medvedev to Israel.
On the sidelines of the meeting of D.A. Medvedev and Israel Prime Minister B. Netanyahu the head of the Federal Customs Service of Russia V. Bulavin and General Director of Israel Tax Administration M. Asher signed a protocol on exchange of preliminary information on goods and transport vehicles relocatable between the countries. The protocol will become a legal base for Green Channel project realization between Russia and Israel.
In the course of the visit negotiations between V. Bulavin and M. Asher and the head of Customs Directorate of Israel Tax Administration A.B. Arditi were conducted. Key issues of Russian-Israel cooperation were considered. The parties discussed certain steps for Green Channel project practical realization, agreed developing of cooperation in the sphere of mutual recognition of customs control results in relation to certain types of goods, discussed the matter of cooperation consolidation in relation to fight against customs offence at air transport. For the purpose of further consolidation of Russian-Israel customs cooperation a plan of joint actions for the years 2017-2018 has been currently developing.
