Regulations concerning domestic animals import

In compliance with Chapter 15 of the Unified Veterinary Requirements approved by the Decision of the Customs Union Commission dated June 18, 2010 No.317 “Concerning Application of Veterinary and Sanitary Measures in the Eurasian Economic Union”, it is permitted to import to the territory of the Eurasian Economic Union cats and dogs, which are transported for personal use in the amount not exceeding two animals, without an import permit and quarantine, accompanied with an international passport, which in this case is considered equivalent to a veterinary health certificate, provided that it has a record of the competent authority about clinical examination within five days before transportation. In case of import from the Third Countries, reissuance of the international passport into a veterinary accompanying document in the country of destination is not necessary.

The List of Border Checkpoints through the Eurasian Economic Union border, where quarantine control is performed, is posted on the official website of the Eurasian Economic Commission as well as the official website of the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor).
