Representative of foreign companies visited “Kashirsky” customs terminal


On June 6, 2005 the customs terminal “Kashirsky” of the Moscow Southern Customs of Moscow (MSC) of the Central Customs Department (CTU) welcomed a familiarization visit of a representative delegation of experts of foreign companies and business combinations, operating in Moscow and participating in foreign economic activities. Amongst them there were such major business associates of Russian business as the American Chamber of Commerce in Russia and the Union of German Economy, “Shell Oil”, “Ford Motor”, “Ernest & Young”, “Coca-Cola”, “Mars”, Daimler Chrysler”, “Imperial Tobacco”, “Siemens”, “Procter & Gamble” and others. The interest shown by the participants of foreign economic activity concerned the experience of the post, which was the first to change over to electronic declaration. The guests were hosted by Mr. Nikolay Ramenskih, Deputy Head of the Central Customs Department (CTU), by heads of subordinate customs authorities and representatives of various units the FCS.

Mr. Leonid Lozbenko, Deputy Head of the FSC of Russia, conducted a meeting with the companies – members of the Association of Express Carriers. The meeting was held with participation of representatives of DHL, FedEx, TNT, UPS, Freight Link/Pony Express.

The Customs Inclines Foreign Manufacturers Towards Direct Deliveries


On September 14, senior executives of the Federal Customs Service (FCS) of Russia held a meeting with members of household appliances companies, marketing their products in the domestic market. The matter for discussions, arranged between the FCS and foreign business groups through the instrumentality of the Association (RATEK/РАТЭК), were the issues of customs clearance of import household appliances. The business invitees included principle foreign companies, representing worldwide trademarks: Samsung, Panasonic, Hitachi, Philips, Ardo, Candy, Bosch, Siemens, Sony, Archelik, Elektrolux, Loewe, Thomson, JVC, Toshiba, De’Longhi S.p.A, Sharp Electronics, Daewoo Electronics, Wirpool, Merloni Elettrodomestici.
